Michelle Ashby MCIPD has spent over 25 years working at the intersection of people, talent, recruitment, HR, leadership and coaching, both agency-side and in-house, across some of the world's most recognised brands and fastest-growing businesses.
She has recruited, developed and coached thousands of people, built teams from scratch, designed talent and people infrastructure for scaling businesses, and worked alongside founders and CEOs navigating some of the most challenging moments in their growth journey, including a Steven Bartlett company and one of Europe's fastest-growing digital consultancies, as named by the Financial Times UK.
Most recently, she was brought in to bridge a critical talent gap for a global beauty brand — recruiting 14 people across all levels in just three months, while embedding as an extension of their internal team.
Along the way, Michelle noticed a pattern. Businesses evolve. People evolve. Careers change. What worked before doesn't always work for what's next.
The businesses that struggled weren't necessarily short of ambition or strategy, they often lacked the people, talent and capability to turn that ambition into reality. And individuals who felt stuck or disengaged weren't necessarily lacking talent, they were often in the wrong environment, role or direction.
